The Lavender Centre incorporating the Pelton Surgery, DCC library, PCT Surgery and pharmacy has dramatically improved community facilities in the village of Pelton.

The building and its development with the involvement of the local community, councillors, and health authorities has shown how a collaborative approach to health and wellbeing can create real quality in the community. The project design brief called for a bright welcoming environment both inside and out. The use of colour stimulates well being. Each of the areas uses colour to identify and enhance the experience. A sensory garden at the heart of the internal environment provides stimulation to each of the sense and a calm respite from the problems of the world.

The bright modern Architectural statement with high environmental credentials is already a local landmark and establishes new standards of healthcare design.
