In 2024, HL was appointed by Burney Street Practice to work with them and South East London ICB on rethinking its layout and expanding clinical capacity.Although the practice operated efficiently, it faced ongoing challenges, including patient congestion, accessibility issues, infection control, and a tired, outdated environment.

Our design team collaborated closely with the practice through a series of workshops, developing a new layout and interior design approach tailored to their needs. Key improvements included:

The result is a modern, welcoming, and accessible practice environment that enhances the patient journey and supports staff in delivering care more efficiently. By addressing practical challenges with thoughtful design, HL helped create a space that serves the community today while future-proofing the practice for years to come.
