The Glades, Riding Mill

Design of two separate and similar detached houses on a two acre plot for a Private Developer.

The large houses have been designed to react to the privacy of the plot and take advantage of the unique positions.

The houses avoid the usual developer model of a large box by breaking down the design into 3 distinct area.  They consist of a 3 storey main house containing living rooms and bedrooms on the upper floor, with the main block linked to a 2 storey living/study space via a link high kitchen.

This variety of form responds to the vernacular of the local architectural forms in Northumberland.
