We are currently working for clients, CRGN in the restoration and redevelopment of Grade II listed building, Neville Hall, situated in the heart of bustling Newcastle city centre. An exciting scheme, with a focus of inspiring the next generation of innovators and engineers.
The project is the restoration and alteration to the Neville and Wood Memorial Halls in Newcastle. The buildings form part of a unique set of buildings alongside the Lit + Phil buildings on Westgate Road, adjacent to the Railway Station.
Alongside the sensitive renovation of the external façade and removal of inappropriate 20th century additions, a new service core has been designed to provide lifts ,staircase and WC. At the top the service core will provide new office accommodation for the Charity, Common Room of the North.
Once complete, the building will provide first class conferencing and banqueting facilities as well as an awe-inspiring venue for weddings and celebrations. The café bar will provide the perfect location for a casual coffee, after work drinks or pre-dinner meeting place. Our design team are excited to see how the beauty of the classical features within this building will be enhanced with a new up to date scheme. It is due to re-open Autumn 2020.
