The redevelopment of Redhills is a fantastic project involving the social history of Britain over the last 100years through the mining industry and the workers that toiled down the mines.
The building was developed as the headquarters for the Unions at the start of the 20th Century and has had little updates or improvements since. The Grade II Listed building contains the Pitman’s Parliament at the rear in which every pit was allocated a seat.
The project will involve the restoration of the original building and the development of new conference facilities to enhance and improve the site. The scheme is currently in the concept design and pre application phases.
