Architect

Cassie joined HL at the end of 2018, after 8 years of broad and diverse experience across many sectors, in the North East and internationally.

She brings to her role  as a project leading Architect, a thoroughness of Client brief forming, in-depth research and creative concept design, good management of planning processes and design team information coordination, a careful keen eye for detailing material junctions inside and out, and delivering schemes on site; maintaining design intent and controlling the outcome.

Her strengths include working within complex heritage contexts, interior design, contemporary architectural innovation and project delivery through BIM implementation. A recently completed project evidencing her strongest skills, has been nominated for an AABC Civic Trust Region Conservation award.

An avid learner with a thirst for new knowledge herself, she also enjoys part-time teaching at Newcastle University. Cassie’s passions beyond architecture include Yoga, Reiki, dance and theatre experiences and to more deeply integrate her existential interests in and out of her working life, she aspires to develop her research in environmental psychology and more specifically, the emotional significance of non-secular spaces to bring these aspects into her work. She also enjoys cardio fitness, long distance trekking, exploring and travelling.
