Restoration work at Acklam Hall continues. Most of the fireplaces in the Hall are of timber, but this fireplace, in the grand ‘Hustler Salon’, is revealed as stone.
Conservators are carefully removing 200 years’ worth of paint to reveal this 17th century detail.
