Recently, our Part 1 Architecture work placement, sadly left us to return to university. Oliver Greenaway has worked with Howarth Litchfield over the last six months, on multiple projects, and has been an absolute pleasure to work with.
Howarth Litchfield would like to thank Oliver for all his hard work over the past six months and for the lovely parting words. We wish Oliver the best for the future, we know he will go far!
Oliver’s Parting words:
“Last week I finished my placement at Howarth Litchfield and I’m reflecting on the last 6 months full of learning and new experiences I’ve had; experiences which I’m excited to bring back to Bath and apply to my Uni coursework.
During my time at the practice I was grateful to be involved across a range of project stages; taking part in detailing exercises and a number of surveys. I gained valuable experience working on planning applications and heritage statements which served to deepen my understanding of planning policy and I had many opportunities to understand the communication and coordination involved in bringing a project to life through client meetings and communicating with planning officers. My competency within Revit and AutoCAD has also significantly improved as a result of working on these projects with guidance from all my colleagues, especially Andrew Watt, Juan Lopez and Robert Atkinson.
I’d like to thank the directors – Keith Handy, Neil Turner, Jonathan Yates, Elisa Berry, and David Pickersgill – for taking me on and for their guidance across a diverse set of projects. I’d also like to thank everyone else in the office for similar guidance and for creating such a welcome environment from my very first day.”
