Sunderland Magistrates has recently been completed by Galliford Try, we were involved as both Building Surveyors and Architects on this significant refurbishment project. The works involved considerable repairs to the envelope of the building to maintain this facility for the Ministry of Justice (MoJ), and maintain its operational capacity, as well as its historical legacy. The building was operational throughout the works and given its Grade II Listed status we worked closely with both end users and conservation departments to ensure proposals were appropriate. This is one of many MoJ projects we are working on across the country with an ever-increasing portfolio of work. This varies from upgrades and repairs on existing facilities to new modular accommodation provision across the MoJ estate.
