We have had a good fortnight for award nominations and shortlistings with 8 award categories in the RICS and RIBA awards.
I heard Gyles Brandreth on Room 101 say that he hated awards and award speeches, well I can understand his view. However why do we enter them? Well it’s really nice when someone agrees that something we have done is rather special.
We find our clients like the prestige and the publicity.
So we have no shame in being really pleased that three projects spread across three different sectors demonstrate our skills in very different ways .
My Place is a wonderful and excitng piece of architecture, please look at the webpages .
The Lavender Centre at Pelton is a lovely new medical and library facility.
Finally Treetops, a domestic project, is shortlisted. The skillful conversion of a 1960’s house.
So fingers crossed and let hope for a win amongest one of them. We know they’re great – lets hope you agree!
Cheers – Neil
