It has been a pleasure working with New College Durham and their team on the latest project at the Framwellgate Campus. The project involves the modernisation of the current Sports building to enhance the overall Student and visitor experience. A new gym is being developed at ground floor level with the current Starbucks Café being relocated to First floor, with a new picture window looking out onto the new All Weather Pitch facility, which has recently commenced works on site.
The proposal also includes a new ground floor entrance extension, creating a more welcoming entrance that interacts with the main New College Building and additional classrooms at second floor to strengthen the educational offer from the College.
The proposals have recently been submitted to Durham County Council for full planning approval and we are looking forward to developing the next level of detail, as part of the tender process later this year.
