A recent article in the Sunday times noted that the economy has nearly got back to the heights of 2008 before the recession. By Easter it will have matched its previous level.

So what is the relevance for the building industry and our clients. There is no doubt that there has never been a better time  to build, as the builders rates are as keen (or low – depending on your perspective!). We are seeing price rises already as main contractors report increases on materials and different trades.

Is this a good thing? Well it probably is; as the builders have seen margins become too tight, so a price correction can be healthy. Clients will see the true price at the start of projects and not increases.

What is definitely clear, that now is the right time to plan and build if you want to capture some of the competitive costs.
